The Arts for Global Sustainability

Mindsets, daily routines and habits depend very much on everyone’s cultural background. How we do things depends very much on what they signify to us, how we see the world and our place in it. The arts in all their forms are crucial for expanding mindsets, providing new perspectives on how to see things and ways of living. How we live as part of nature with nature. To mobilize artists for a deep societal transformation is therefore of core relevance. We need to connect and support artists from all different orientations for a broadest possible arts movement across all continents, all practiced languages, to rebuild our attitude to nature through new visions and its regenerative transformation. In short: We have to promote new ways of living sustainably in all cultural and regional varieties. All this is calling for new ways of working together beyond national, institutional or disciplinary boundaries.
